Things to do in Buriram
- The Isan Kite Festival is held annually in the stadium Huai Rat, the third weekend of December. There is a contest judge the kites on their design, the sound they make when flying and they float in the sky. A festival that will surely amaze children.
- Go to Night market to have dinner dinner and stroll in the evening (from 4 pm to 8 pm). This is not the most charming night market in Thailand but it's still an interesting place to eat for cheap.
- Go to Walking Street which takes place every Saturday and Sunday evening on Rom Buri Road from 5 pm to 10 pm. This night market offers mainly local cheap food stalls. Place to go especially if you have not yet experienced a night market in Thailand in a non-touristy city.
- Attend a football match in the Thunder Castle, the Buriram United FC stadium. This is the best team in the country and the tickets for the championship matches, are really cheap. Even without particularly loving football, I'm sure it will be a fun evening.
