The province of Satun

General information about the province of Satun

Province capital: Satun
Name in Thai: สตูล

Location on map

Province of region Southern Thailand

Satun province is located in the south of Thailand. And with its white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and colorful coral reefs and diving sites, it attracts many travelers during the peak season from mid-November to mid-May.

Visitors can also explore the sea caves of Tarutao National Park, as well as the traditional fishing villages and islands of Koh Bulon and Koh Adang. But the land part of the province of Satun is almost not visited by foreigners despite a geopark classified by UNESCO. The fault may be its classification in orange (except Koh Lipe) by several embassies which advise their nationals not to go there. This is the case of France.
