The province of Chumphon is located in the south of Thailand, facing the Gulf of Thailand. It is one of the departure points for its islands, especially Koh Tao, the closest. It is a destination still very much ignored by foreign tourists which nevertheless offers beautiful mountain and sea areas.
Among the monuments, we find temples, viewpoints, caves, beaches and islands. Chumphon also offers fishing tours with local fishermen, especially to catch squid.
Whether snorkeling, mountain hiking or relaxing on white sand beaches, Chumphon province offers a seaside experience in Thailand far from mass tourism.
Chumphon's a flood of tourists is mainly due to the fact that the city is a point of embarkation for the Koh Tao, Koh Pha Ngan and Koh Samui islands. At few kilometers from Chumphorn, there are certainly some nice beaches Hat Paradorn ,Hat Tha Wua Laen et Hat Sairee for instance but the city itself has not so much to offer.
