The province of Phuket is reduced to the island of Phuket, the largest in the country, in the very south of Thailand. It is the second most visited destination by foreign tourists in Thailand after Bangkok. Helped by its reputation and its large international airport with several direct flights from foreign countries per day. Phuket is a beach destination renowned for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters and vibrant nightlife. Patong beach attracts the most people.
Its most famous monument is its white Big Buddha. The old town with its colorful Sino-Portuguese style houses is also very popular with tourists.
