Things to do in Chiang Rai
- From a trek to is the most common activity. Chiang Rai is the ideal starting point to the mountains to meet the nature or tribes. This still requires a good physical condition
- Down the river Kok in general it has done for up to Thaton Chia ng Rai but other routes are possible
- Have a look at the night bazaar this night market offers a variety of souvenirs stalls and small restaurants
- Spend the day with elephants with Elephant Steps which offers you a beautiful experience spending a moment with the elephants while in their natural environment and not in the circuses or amusement park. I have not tested yet but it will be soon! Here no suspicion of mistreatment for tourist purposes, elephant are perfectly respected, you can go there with confidence! You will even help local associations with the income generated by your visit.
