Must-sees & Must-Dos in Yasothon?

What to do and see in Yasothon

If there is a monument to be seen when you comes to Yasothon, it is the Giant Toad. If you come back without a photo of this building on the river front, nobody will believe you came to Yasothon. Otherwise the old town is quite pretty with its old Franco-Indochinese painted wooden houses. This area is called Ban Singha Tha. It's nice to have a walk, it feels a little like you are going back in time. Also take time to visit Wat Mahathat in the same area. Otherwise, there is also Paya Thaen park, which is only interesting because it is from there that the rockets are fired during the Bun Bang Fai festival.

Outside the city you have some interesting artisan villages like Ban Thung Nang Ok and Ban Na Samai for bamboo basket making and Ban Si Than famous throughout the country for its making of kit pillow

Ban Sing Tha is one of the prettiest quarters with ancient houses inThailand. There you will see beautiful painted wooden houses dating back to a century and a Chinese temple. Walking through the streets here is very nice. You will feel like you're going back in time.
