What to do and see in Lamphun
The first thing to visit in the province of Lamphun is the city. For that you can hire the services of a tuk-tuk, there are usually some in front of the railway station. But the most interesting area which is the one with Wat Phra That Haripunchai temple, the museum, the market on the bridge and Pratu Thanang Gate can be visited by walkig because every places are very close. To visit the rest of the province, being transported seems almost essential. Wat Phra Putthabat Pha Nam
This hilltop temple, located a hundred kilometers from Lamphun city welcomes visitors with a huge statue of a standing monk whose temple also preserves the mummy. The temple also offers on its upper part a magnificent view over the valley and the mountains.
