Must-see places in Hua Hin
Things to see and do in Hua Hin
Apart from its very typical and well-known train station, the city of Hua Hin offers few places to visit. However, the Khao Takiap area is worth a visit for its hill with its standing Buddha and its perched temples inhabited by a horde of monkeys. And personally, I find the beach more pleasant. There is also a small fishing port with small restaurants serving seafood and fish that could not be fresher.
The many night markets are also interesting places, as is the Huay Mongkhon temple and its large statue of a monk and the Maruekhathaiyawan royal palace, which has finally reopened to visitors. But what I particularly recommend you to do in Hua Hin is to take a day trip or rent a vehicle to visit the Sam Roi Yot National Park without missing its superb Phraya Nakhon Cave. It is also very pleasant to walk on the beach at sunrise. It is sometimes the opportunity for superb photos.

Khao Takiap

green hill at the edge of a long beach with a temple at the top and a large standing Buddha. There is also a small fishing harbor.
Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park

Located at the edge of the sea with numerous caves including the very photogenic Phraya Nakhon Cave with its little royal pavilion lighted by a ray of sun comming from the opening at the top. The park is about sixty kilometers from Hua Hin and Prachuap Khiri Khan, thirty from Pranburi and a dozen kilometers from Kuiburi. There are a few accommodation options in the park.
Phraya Nakhon Cave

It is the highlight of any visit to the Sam Roi Yod National Park. This beautiful cave hosts a small Royal Pavilion which is often illuminated by a ray of light coming from the opening at the top of the cave. A relaxing and very photogenic place which is also the emblem of the province.
Tamarind Market

A little after the Cicada Market, this other Hua Hin night market is open exactly the same evenings. It is almost entirely dedicated to food and drinks. It's personally my favorite weekend night market in Hua Hin.
Kuiburi national park

This thai national park, which is home to many animal species in lush nature with a few waterfalls, is the place where you are most likely to see wild elephants in Thailand ! There are more than 300 elephants in the park and tours offered by the park rangers give you a good chance of seing them.
Patio Old TOwn Night Market (ex Chatsila Night market)

This small night market juxtaposed to the Hua Hin Night Market offers a more intimate and artistic atmosphere with live music, art galleries and a pretty setting in a courtyard with white wooden bungalows. Personally, this is a night market that I really like.Find a room in Hua Hin
