Built in 2011, the two floating markets in Hua Hin are very close to each another. Both are in Soi 112 about 6 km from the city center. Hua Hin Floating Market and Hua Hin Sam Pan Nam Floating Market are especially popular on weekends and in high season.
Sam Pan Nam Floating Market is the second floating market when you come from Hua Hin. It is less than 2 kilometers after the
Hua Hin Floating Market. Bigger, prettier, more popular, the market affirms to be largest floating market in Asia. It is much more interesting than the other one. You can go around the Sam Pan Nam Floating Market by taking its little train or by boat for 20 baht per person. The shops are in white wooden houses and there are a few nice decoration elements like real fishing boats. Like all recent floating markets in Thailand, it is has not a lot a common with traditional thai floating markets and is basically a mall around a pound. You will find many clothing stores, crafts and gadgets shops and restaurants and cafes. In the center, there is a big building housing a food center where you can eat sitting on the floor at low tables and choose your menu from the boats and stalls offering food and drinks. There is sometimes a little dancing show on the water. but it is not very good to be honest...
