To go to Surin ?
Surin is on the Northeastern line of Thai Railway. Buses leave Bangkok from Mochit Northern Bangkok Bus Terminal and join the city in 7-8 hours. There is approximatly bus every 1h30. From Buriram (bus 281) or Nakhon Ratchasima (bus 274), there is one bus per hour to Surin which stops in Nang Rong 24 km from Phanom Rung temple. From Ubon Ratchathani, bus 285 and some buses to Bangkok go to Surin Surin.Direct trains to Surin

IMPORTANT: from 19th January 2023, 52 trains leave or arrive in Bangkok at brand new Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station, the other ones will still depart and arrive in Hua Lamphong Station (until next step to move all trains to the new Bangkok railway station). Leave Surin ?
You can leave Surin by train to go back to Bangkok or continue to Si Saket and Ubon Ratchathani. Local buses regularly commute with Nakhon Ratchasima (bus 274 which also stops in Nang Rong closest city to the Phanom Rung), Buriram (bus 281) and Si Saket (bus 292 or 940 from Bangkok).
