Wat Khao Hua Sing is a Buddhist temple located in a fairly remote rural area surrounded by mountains in the Plai Phraya district of Krabi province. The land for the temple was donated by the king.
Little known, the temple is particularly notable for its completely gilded ordination hall, which stands majestically in front of limestone mountains and palm trees, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Founded in 1993, the temple is a somewhat isolated place which offers serenity and plenitude. Pleasant to visit and very pretty in its natural setting. While it's probably not worth the little over an hour's drive from Ao Nang or Krabi town centre, it can be a worthwhile little detour en route to Wat Maha That Wachiramongkol (Wat Bang Tong) which is worth the detour.. . especially if we add Wat Khao Hua Sing as a preamble!
