Note that the puppet shows are no longer given at the Artist House but at Wat Kamphaeng Bangchak which is located in the parking lot of the Khlong Bang Luang Floating Market. And the performances only take place on weekends, always at 2 p.m.
Located at Khlong Bang Luang Floating Market, this century-old teak house houses a cafe that was best known for its daily puppet shows, but which no longer offers them, as the show takes place in a nearby temple and only on weekends (at 2 p.m.). Baan Silapin, its Thai name, was created in 2010 by Thai artist and environmentalist Chumphon Akhpantanond. Since it no longer offers the puppet show, it offers various craft activities, including painting and making schoolchildren and beaded bracelets. Quite popular on weekends with Thais.
Some boat tours on the klongs, Bangkok's canals, stop here. And, on weekends, there's one tour that departs from the Taling Chan Floating Market that stops here and takes you to see the puppet show at the nearby temple.
