Colorful festival to celebrate King Narai the Great or Ramathibodi III who ruled the kingdom from 1656 to 1688 and was probably the most famous monarch of the Ayutthaya period. This sovereign made Lopburi the second capital of Thailand about 350 years ago. The annual celebration takes place in his former palace in the heart of the city.
