Your Travel Guide to Thailand
All information & tips to prepare your trip in Thailand
There are no monuments to visit in Koh Sukorn as such — the entire island is what you explore and discover. For example, you can hire a *saleng*, the local tuk-tuks, for a tour of the island lasting 2.5 to 3 hours, which is very enjoyable (400 THB, last price observed in December 2025). Koh Sukorn is also pleasant to explore by bicycle and it’s not very physically demanding. There are few climbs, except for the one leading to the viewpoint. This way, you can discover the rice fields, which are particularly beautiful before the harvest (this varies depending on the year, but rice cultivation generally takes place from July, when the shoots are transplanted into the paddies, to December, when the rice is harvested), as well as buffaloes, watermelon and rubber plantations, beaches, and more.
You can also arrange boat trips with your hotel to visit the neighboring islands of Koh Lao Liang or Koh Takieng, which have prettier beaches than the black or brown sand beaches of Koh Sukorn and offer turquoise waters.
