In Koh Phi Phi, apart from the famous viewpoint (in fact there are 3) which offers a superb view of the island, most of the places to see are offshore. To discover them, you will therefore have to either hire a longtail boat or buy day trips at local travel agencies. The most popular tours go to Maya Bay, the beach in Dany Boyle's film with Leonardo Di Caprio which welcomes thousands of thousands of visitors every day, the lagoon of Koh Phi Phi Ley, or the monkey beach. On the main island, going for a trek to get off the beaten track and discover small and almost deserted beaches is also very nice and gives you another image of Koh Phi Phi (see offer in the tours section). I also listed at the end of the page some good tours, excursions and activities that you can do in Koh Phi Phi or from Koh Phi Phi. Click here to see them.
Up there are actually three viewpoints, including number two, which offers the most beautiful and famous view of Koh Phi Phi Island. You absolutely have to go up there if you want to get THE photo of Koh Phi Phi and take a selfie that will make your friends jealous. The sunsets from up there are also often superb!
Maya Bay beach was made famous by the movie ''The Beach''. Since then, thousands of tourists are going there every day. This is certainly a beautiful place but if you really want to enjoy it you will have to come at dawn or sleep on the bay.
This turquoise lagoon surrounded by steep limestone cliffs offers a superb setting! Featured on almost all boat tours of Koh Phi Phi that also go to Maya Bay, it is also very popular with tourists who generally swim there, or even do a bit of snorkeling.
starstar This small beach is home to a horde of monkeys. Accustomed to humans, they can be approached very closely. The beach is easily accessible by kayak from Koh Phi Phi pier.
star This cave is not that interresting but it is often part of the visits agencies or boats drivers offer on Koh Phi Phi Leh. You can visist the inside only in high season.
