Visit Wat Tham Pu Wa (Kanchanaburi)

Thai name : วัดถ้ำพุหว้า
My opinion:
If you are looking for accommodation near Wat Tham Pu Wa, you can see here a list of hotels near Wat Tham Pu Wa
Located about twenty kilometers from Kanchanaburi city, Wat Tham Phu Wa temple is famous for its cave. In front of the cave entrance a big building with an architecture influenced by the Khmer arts and the Lopburi style, welcomes you. Recent, it is not the most interesting element but it allows to locate the main entrance. The cave has 2 floors, the one where you enter, then on the lower floor, there are several rooms with stalagmites ans stalactites and several Buddha images. You will also find statues for each Chinese astrological sign in front which the faithful pray according to their year of birth.

Wat Tham Pu Wa is also a renowned meditation center. Upon entering the complex you will come across a reclining Buddha and thenat the left of the Khmer style building, a large sitting Buddha. All are paint in brick pink color.
