On its small 200 meters high hill, Saphan Hin temple is the more interesting and probably the only really remarkable one in the Sukhithai Historical Park forestry area (West sector). It is especially known for its 12.5 meters standing Buddha which stands in the few remains left of the temple housing it. To acces the temple, you have to climb a lovely irregular stone staircase. From above, you have an interesting partial view of the surrounding countryside. The bicycle ride in this area is nice too if you have time because it is the less crowded part of the park, the most peaceful one and the one which is the most integrated in the country. But still Wat Saphan Hin has not the interests of temples in the central area or even in Wat Si Chum area.

How to get to Wat Saphan Hin ?
There is about 3.5 km of cycling between the central part of Sukhothai Historical Park and Wat Saphan Hin knowing that the part in which the temple is located is close to the central part. It can either be reached via the main road NH12 or from the back of the historical park central part, starting at Wat Pa Pai and going up to Wat Saphan Hin. Then, Wat Si Chum and all the Northern part. It's a complete loop that goes through the 3 areas of Sukhothai Historical Park.
