Visit Wat Pha Thang (Uthai Thani)

g_translate Thai name : วัดผาทั่ง
reviews My opinion: starstarstar
Uthai Thani
Wat Pha Tang Uthai Thani
Wat Pha Tang Uthai Thani
Wat Pha Thang is a small temple in Ban Rai district. Its highlight is its Big Buddha which is one of the largest and most beautiful in the province. Culminating at 52 meters and with its 23 meters wide, it is quite impressive! Lord Buddha is represented in the posture of blessing.

There is an alley lined with 2 Naga ramps to access the Buddha image. You can enter into the base of the statue which houses a sanctuary and climb stairs to reach the feet of the Buddha.

once again, this is not a must-visit in Uthai Thani but Wat Pha Thang is only 16 kilometers from the magnificent Wat Tham Khao Wong and an easy stop to add on the road between this same temple and the very nice Samorthong Warm Springs.
