This large market located in Mae Sai (60 kilometers from Chiang Rai) along the border with Myanmar (formerly Burma) is a real Ali Baba cave. You can find almost anything: all types of clothes, electronics, crafts, kitchen accessories, wigs, beauty products, food ... Between the customers, street vendors, scooters of merchants who bring or move some stock and even the cars in its main artery, it is a very lively place. Of course if you can almost find everything here, there are also some poor quality products (which worth their very very cheap price) but it is especially for its atmosphere that it is nice to come here.
Talad Sailom Joy, from its Thai name, is located on both sides of Mae Sai's border crossing checkpoint. The largest part is on the left. On the right is the part with the sellers of art objects and Buddhas. This is also where you will have access to the small arch marking the most northern point of Thailand for a little selfie to say ''I was there !''.
