Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park
The park is named after its two mountain peaks: Lak and Lam Ru. Originally, it was just a seaside park, but in 1984 it was extended to to encompass the forested and mountainous area inland and for protection of the province's main water catchment area. On August 30, 1991 Khao Lak-Lam Ru became the 66th national park of Thailand. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park features numerous waterfalls, the largest being the Lam Ru waterfall a 5 levels waterfall with water during the all year. The other most notable waterfalls are Lam Phrao, Hin Lat and Chong Fa waterfalls.
The park is also include the most beautiful small sandy beach in Khao Lak. You make a very nice ballads passing through several points of interest such as a footprint on a rock and a nice point of view and finish with the sandy beach.

How to get to Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park ?

Personally, I traveled by bicycle for everything within a radius of 10 kilometers around the main street of Khao LaK but you can rent a scooter (be sure to comply with Thai legislation). You can also find tuk-tuks to hire, even if in Khao Lak, it is more often privatizing songtheaws (collective taxis) the easiest way to get around.
