Built during COVID, the Kanchanaburi Skywalk was built along the Kwae Yaï River, where the 3 rivers of Kanchanaburi, Mae Klong, Phachi and Kwae Yaï, meet. Culminating at 12 meters high, it offers a superb panoramic view of the river and the mountains with the great Buddha of Wat Tham Khao Laem in focus.

The glass walkway spanning a distance of 150 meters along the banks of the Kwae Yai River. Walking to the right of the bridge you will see the 60 Years Maharat Hall on the city side, while looking to the left you can admire the three rivers.

In addition to the Skywalk, a pedestrian street runs along the bank of the Kwae Yai River, providing visitors with a vibrant public space where they can stroll, relax and participate in various activities. There is also a Walking Street, a large night market once a week.

For me, the best time to go up on the Kanchanaburi Skywalk is around 6 p.m., when the sun sets. layer and stay there until nightfall to see it light up.

Entrance: 60 THB (officially, this is not the entrance price but that for the velvet skates that you have to wear to walk on the glass floor of the skywalk).
Open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Before going up, via the stairs or the elevator, you are invited to leave all your belongings (except your phone or camera) in a locker (free service).

How to get to Kanchanaburi Skywalk ?

From the Kwai River bridge, the best way to go to the Kanchanaburi Skywalk is to take a tuk-tuk which here are motorcycles with a sort of sidecar with a roof. The price will range between 60 and 100 THB depending on where you are exactly.
