At a dozen kilometers from the
Phu Chi Fah , this Another less well-known summit offers magnificent views of the Mekong, which crisscrosses the valley below, Laotian side. On arrival, you will climb a small staircase, pass a Chinese pavilion and an altar with a Buddha before committing to a path with sometimes small paths side to access the view and the end accessible by an earth staircase . Going up there can be quite sporty, especially if the sun beats but the cool thing about Doi Pha Thong is that you have several places to enjoy the view including a fair to the left of the pavilion Chinese which is accessible to him without effort (there are just twenty steps to climb).
I highly recommend you to combine the visit of Phu Chi Fah and Doi Pha Tong which are quite close to each other but offer very different panoramas. Be careful though, you come here for the view, up there and on the way, so you need a clear sky otherwise you will probably be disappointed.
