Skywalk Chiang Khan, also called Skywalk Phu Khong Ngeo after its Big Standing Buddha's, is a recent construction which opened to the public in December 2020. It is located in Ban Tha Dee Mi, sub-district of Pak Tom, about twenty kilometers from Chiang Khan city in Loei province (Northeastern Thailand). Its 80-meter high glass walkway was built in front of a 19-meter tall standing Buddha. With its 3 circular areas, it offers a breathtaking view of the Mekong River and the Huang River, along the Thai-Laotian border. The skywalk is 100 meters long and 2 meters wide.
The 2 most popular times of the day to visit the Chiang Khan Skywalk are at dawn to contemplate the sea of mist in the cold and wet seasons or, of course, at sunset. It is not a visit I recommend if you are prone to vertigo ! ;)
