Explore Krabi's jungle side, from the Tiger Temple to the waterfalls of Khao Phnom Bencha National Park, and its waterfalls for a deep dive into Thai nature.
Off-the-beaten-track Krabi tour program
Around 10:00 a.m.: You will be picked up from your host in Krabi or Ao Nang, Tubkaek, or Klong Mueang by minivan.
Head to the Tiger Cave Temple for a beautiful jungle hike (approximately 1 hour walk) in the primeval jungle. You will discover troglodyte monastic life, a multitude of centuries-old trees, karst caves and you will be able to see endemic land turtles (these are wild animals so not guaranteed). If you are up for the challenge, you can add the climb to the viewpoint accessible after climbing 1260 steps but it is not on the default program.
Lunch in a remarkable local restaurant as much for its setting with a pond and floating straw huts as for its cuisine.
After the meal, head to Khao Phnom Bencha National Park with its rich and varied fauna and flora. It owes its name to a wooded mountain whose summit rises to nearly 1400 meters and is home to giant centuries-old trees. You'll enjoy a pleasant and refreshing swim in the waterfalls in a beautiful location away from the hordes of tourists.
Return to your hotel around 5 p.m.
