In this trip, we will follow the guidance of a local to give your offering to the monks in the early morning. Most of common gifts are included rice, fresh fruit and traditional dessert in the alms bowl. We will then go on the the most important temple hopping in Chiang Mai and discover the ancient days of this peaceful city.

Meet up at hotel lobby (in Chiang Mai area)

Let's begin our trip by offering food to the Buddhist monks! Many locals offer food to the monks daily, as they believe that it will bring them merits.
We'll then head to Doi Suthep Temple with the Golden Pagoda decorated in the Lanna style, which is different to those found throughout Thailand. It is also the most famous temple in Chiang Mai. Here, you can cherish the hill-top view!

Then, we'll visit the hidden temple at Wat Pha Lat. Wat Pha Lat really is located in the lush green and is a place where most monks come to meditate. So, you will discover the real side of Thailand's Buddhism amongst the traditional carving statues.

Afterwards, we'll head to Umong Temple which can be literally translated to "The Tunnel Temple". Believe it or not, this temple is 700 years old. Located next to a small lake, you can also enjoy seeing nature or even feed the birds and fish!

We'll then head to the old city and visit Wat Chiang Man, the first temple in Chiang Mai built by King Mangrai, the first ever king of the Lanna Kingdom. Here's the highlight, it houses a pagoda with the base of 15 life-sized elephant sculptures!
Then, we'll visit Wat Phra Singh, the second most venerated temple in Chiang Mai. Its elegantly decorated Visit.
