Every year a week before Loy Krathong, Wat Saket temple perched on the "golden mountain" in Bangkok celebrates the temple fair. At the opening ceremony on the morning of Day 1 at 6 am, a long red cloth is walked around the temple and wrapped around the chedi at the top. You also have every day, cultural shows, traditional music, games, fighting demonstrations and even a Ferris wheel and food stalls. Entry to the festival is free.
