Where to stay in Krabi?

In Krabi province, the main choice is between the town and the beaches. Krabi Town has no beach, but it is the best place for budget travellers, local food, night markets and bus and boat connections.

Ao Nang is the most convenient beach resort, with a wide choice of hotels and restaurants, and longtail boats to Railay and the nearby islands. For more peace and quiet, the beaches further north such as Klong Muang and Tubkaek have more upmarket hotels. Here is our advice for each area and our three favourite hotels.
