Your Travel Guide to Thailand
All information & tips to prepare your trip in Thailand
The main reason why people come to Koh Kood is for its natural setting. Its beaches, lush jungle and hidden waterfalls make it a little haven of peace (still) far from mass tourism.
The beaches of Koh Kood are among the most beautiful in Thailand, with their white sand and crystal clear waters. Ao Tapao is the longest and one of the most accessible, offering an ideal setting to relax and enjoy the sunset. Further south, Bang Bao seduces with its protected bay is perfect for swimming. Ao Phrao, meanwhile, is one of the wildest beaches on the island, ideal for those looking for a quiet corner away from it all.
In the interior of the island of Koh Kut, we find its waterfalls. Khlong Chao is the most famous and probably the most beautiful, nestled in the heart of the jungle, with a natural pool where you can swim. Koh Kood also has some interesting sites, such as the century-old Makayuk tree. The fishing village of Ao Salad, with its stilt houses and colorful boats, allows you to observe the traditional way of life of the locals and enjoy fresh seafood in an authentic atmosphere.
