Presentation

The succession of white Buddhas which is the main interest of the temple was in restoration in late February 2018. Ask before you go because I have no idea when the renovation will end.

This temple is located just before Phetchabun, in the district of Khao Khor approximately 90 kilometers from Phitsanulok. it famous for its amazing series Bhouddas. Wat Phra Sorn Kaew is installed on a 830 meters high hill. Surrounded by mountains, it offers lovely views. The main pagoda and surrounding buildings are adorned with more than 5 million of colorful mosaic tiles and pottery items. But what is worth visiting at Wat Phra Kaew Sorn are the five sitting Buddha statues grouped in a row from the smallest to the largest. It is unique in Thailand, I think, and it is beautiful especially with the settings around !
