This temple is located 2 kilometers outside Dansai city in Loei province and 1 kilometer from the other sacred temple Wat Phra That Si Song Rak. On top of a hill, it is an important temple in the district which contains many interesting elements. The first is its 40 meter wide and 80 meter long ordination hall with colorful murals which is said to be the largest ordination hall in Thailand. The walls are made of laterite coming from Lamphun and the Prachinburi province. There is a replica of the Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, a venerated Bouddha ilmage from the great temple in Phitsanulok. Another element is the Phrakhru Phawana Wisutthiyan Mondop which is also made of laterite and houses a wax figure of the revered monk Luang Pho Maha Phan Sila Wisuttho, founder of the temple as well as his remains which never decomposed and were kept here for disciples and devotees to pay respect to him. There is also a pretty fountain, a big arch marking the entrance to the temple... All this in a pleasant wooded area.
