Visit Phu Bo Bit Viewpoint (Loei)

Perched on a small hill 2 km out of the city, the Phu Bophit viewpoint offers a nice panorama of Loei with the mountains in the background. The walk to the summit is also nice but a little tiring. You will come across two caves on the way, one with a sanctuary inside and a first viewpoint just before the starting point of the metal stairs that will take you to the platform overlooking the valley. There are 2 entry points to climb the hill. depending on your shape, it takes at least half an hour to reach the top. It is a good place to watch the sunset. The path to go down is illuminated but still bring a flashlight with you when you go up there.
