My opinion:

Located on Koh Klang island, separated from Krabi town by a simple arm of the river, this batik workshop demonstrates this traditional technique of dyeing fabrics based on hot wax and offers you to try it.

Visiting the workshop and spending around 45 minutes making your own creations is usually part of visiting this rural and unspoiled island yet so close Krabi town.

Practical information about Mangrove Tunnel

The price of the batik workshop varies according to the size of the piece you choose to work on but starts at aroud 300 THB. It is strongly advised to call them in advance before coming, especially if you are a goup (Tel: 089 196 7267). Otherwise, if you go there with the tour I recommend on this page, they'll take care of it for you. The Batik workshop is about 6 kilometers from the main island village Ban Ko Klang. Once on the island, you will therefore need to hire a tuk-tuk-tuk or rent a scooter to get there.
