Surin is also renowned for its crafts, particularly silk and silver. Ban Tha Sawang village is famous for its high-quality silk, hand-woven in traditional patterns that reflect the cultural richness of the region. Visitors can observe artisans at work, discovering the skills and techniques passed down from generation to generation, and of course, purchase unique pieces as souvenirs or gifts.
The province is also home to several important historical and archaeological sites. Phanom Rung Sanctuary, built on the summit of an extinct volcano and dedicated to Shiva, although located in the neighboring province of Buriram, it is easily accessible from Surin and is a popular excursion for those interested in history and architecture.
Besides its elephants, handicrafts and historical sites, Surin invites visitors to explore its local markets, traditional festivals and delicious cuisine, providing an authentic experience of life in Isaan.
