Not so long ago, almost everyone in Bangkok was living on or near the Chao Phraya River and the ''klongs'', the canals. The Bangkok River Fair aims at recreating a bit of this past. You will discover the charms of a traditional Thai lifestyle around the river. There will be stalls selling authentic local food, cultural shows and craft exhibitions and local products produced by riverside communities, some dating back more than 200 years, when Bangkok was a "young city" .
The festival will take place from 11am to 7.30pm at Phra Sumen Fort on Phra Arthit Road. Free entry.
