The choice of accommodation in Samut Songkhram is not large and there is an hotel to avoid as long as it did not finish its renovation (Alongkorn 2 Hotel). There is a hotel right next to the train station and the market on the railway, the Mae Klong Hotel which seems quite nice now. But I stayed at Green Apartment , a little further (see below for details about these hotels). Good value for a large room with fridge, desk, air conditioning, coffee making facilities, WIFI, all you need. Only small hiccup, the mattress is a bit hard but it is nquite common in Thailand. Both places have equivalent prices. The one near the station is more often full.
