Onthe top of Thongchai mountain at the end of Thong Sai Beach, we can see its golden roofs and the big golden Buddha Phra Phut Takitti Sirichai from far away. The marble building is recent. Its construction began in 1996 to honour the 50th anniversary of the King. It is a beautiful temple overlooking the bay and offering a view especially significant on Hat Sai Kaew side. It is the pride of Ban Krut and is visited a lot by Thai tourists.

How to get to Wat Tang Sai ?

If personally I went there by bicycle (there is a rental shop on the beach road) then walked for the ascent from the beach, I recommend rather to rent a scooter (if you did what has to be done to comply with Thai legislation). Otherwise, check with your hotel if they cannot offer you transport with a driver.
