Be careful of tuk-tuk drivers who tell you that the Grand Palace, Wat Pho or Wat Phra Kaew are closed and try to take you to visit other places. Most of the time, they lie, everything is open. They try to lure you into their tuk-tuk with very low prices to take you on a tour that is only an excuse to take you to jewelry stores or other shops where they receive commissions and where precious stones or other valuables are often fakes or at least sold much more expensive than their real price. This is one of the classic scams in Bangkok.

The temple of Wat Po is best known for its huge reclining Buddha (Buddha Reclyning to be exact) golden. But he also has a world with its massage school of international repute. The Wat Pho Temple in Bangkok is open every day from 8am and usually closes around 6-6:30pm.
