Visit Wat Chetuphon (Sukhothai)
Presentation Wat Chetuphon
g_translate Thai name : วัดเชตุพน
reviews My opinion:
starstar
Located 10 minutes by bicycle from the central part of Sukhothai Historical Park, Wat Chetuphon is one of the most interesting temples outside the paying areas. Very in ruins, it is interesting for its 4 different large Buddha statues: one walking, one standing (two back to back), one sitting and one lying. They are very damaged and have not been restored but you will not find the equivalent in the paying areas.
If you are planning to go to the Buddha amulets making workshop near Sukhothai Historical Park, Wat Chetuphon is just
500 meters after on the main road.
Practical information about Wat Chetuphon
No admission because the temple is not part of the 3 paying areas of the historic park.
How to get to Wat Chetuphon ?
Wat Chetuphon is 1.7 km from the main entrance to the central part of Sukhothai Historical Park. Easy to cycle there.
