Visit Railway West beach (Railay)

It is the most popular beach in Railay and when we talk about Railay beach it is the beach of Railay West that we are referring to. Little shaded, it is surrounded by limestone picas and with the crystal clear waters of the Andaman Sea and its fine white sand, it offers a postcard setting.

Despite its exposure to the sun, there is little shade on this beach, Railay West Beach offers demarcated swimming areas, with a whole parking area for longtail boats ready to take you on an excursion, allowing travelers to enjoy fully enjoy the pleasures of the sea while basking in the tropical sun. Railay West is very touristy due to the presence of numerous hotel complexes offering direct access to the beach. This is often where most visitors who come to Railay stay, enjoying the convenience of having the sea on their doorstep and easy access to the amenities of the neighboring village offering a variety of restaurants, bars, mini markets and massage parlors... and even an ATM to withdraw money.

For those looking to explore further, a winding path leads to the end of the beach, providing access to the more private Tonsaï Beach. Many prefer this less crowded beach, with its rock formations providing pleasant natural shade and a quieter atmosphere.
