Single monument of Phimai Historical Park which is located in the heart of Phimai city, Prasat Phimai is a Khmer temple built during the reign of Jayavarman V (early 11th century). This is one of the most important temples of this kind in Thailand and its architecture reminds of Angkor Wat built nearly a century later. Major restoration work was conducted jointly by Thailand and France in the sixties so Phimai temple is very complete today. This is obviously the highlight of any visit to Phimai and a must see in Nakhon Ratchasima Province (60 km from Nakhon Ratchasima).
