My opinion :

The tiny island of Koh Matsum (you'll also find the spelling Koh Madsum) is located a little off the south of Koh Samui. Neighbor of Koh Tan, it is generally on the program of boat tours to Koh Tan precisely whether via agencies or by hiring a longtail boat from Thong Krut beach.

In recent years, so-called wild pigs, I say so-called wild because they are not wild at all, have been introduced to the island to attract more visitors who come to take selfies with them on the beach. How to get to Koh Matsum ?

In addition to going through the tour agencies which are numerous to offer Koh Tan and Koh Matsum in their boat tours from Koh Samui, it is possible to go by your own to Thong Krut beach and from there hire a longtail boat to take you snorkeling off Koh Taen and disembark you at Koh Matsum. It is around 1,800 THB per boat + 100 THB to rent a mask and snorkel, knowing that the agencies will offer you something much more complete with a visit to the temple and the cave of Koh Taen for instance.
