My opinion:

This is not the most impressive monument to visit Ayutthaya and you will visit very quickly. A platteforme accessible by a set of stairs will give you an overview of this elephant enclosure surrounded by teak poles where the King chose the best or the strongest elephants. Just before the kraal, you will discover statues of elephants with their warriors on the back.

How to get to Elephant Kraal ?

The Elephant Kraal being a little out of the way from the city of Ayutthaya, the best thing is to rent a tuk-tuk to go there, visit it and come back. It will cost around 400 THB. Afterwards, I'm not sure it's a must in Ayutthaya...
