Visit Bhubing Palace (Chiang Mai)

Bhubing Rajanives Palace is located on the Buak Ha mountain a few kilometers from the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the most famous temple in Chiang Mai Province. It was built on the order of King Rama V in 1961 to be used as a residence when he came to stay in Chiang Mai. It was also used to receive royal guests on different occasions. The climate there is cool throughout the year (take what you cover). The inner zone includes the Phrueksa Wisuitthikhun Palace, a two-storey building with a ground floor on the hill, Siri Song Bhubing Palace which used eucalyptus wood for the construction of a log cabin and a house of Thai-style two-storey hosts that served as a residence for royal guests and high officials accompanying the king. You can not visit the palace itself but only its often foggy gardens sheltering winter flowers, rose gardens, old ferns and a kind of little jungle without forgetting the reservoir, the bamboo and the big tree.
