What is batik? Batik is a dyeing technique on fabrics practiced in several countries in the world like Indonesia and also, even if it is less known, Thailand, in the south of the country. Its principle is to use wax to draw patterns and let them dry on the fabric. They will correspond to the areas which will not be impregnated with the dye once immersed in color. The dying of a complete piece is done by several wax drawings and dipping successively for each color.
