Ban Bang Phlap community is located in Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province, less than 4 kilometers from
Amphawa Floating Market. Here, you will discover the local rural life, crafts and cultures around many canals fed by the Mae Klong River. The pomelos and coconut trees are the two best known productions of this small village and I must admit that their pomelos are probably the best I have ever eaten in Thailand. And everything is grown without pesticides. In the community visitor center, you'll see coconut sugar production, kite-making and other activities. The Ban Bang Phlap visit usually continues with a very nice bike tour in the plantations with some interesting stops including a workshop that makes fruit charcoal or another making sugar fruits.
The only problem is that nobody speaks English here but if you rent a bicycle from Amphawa, come take a stroll to here, it is not that far and the ride worths the detour !
