Your Travel Guide to Thailand
All information & tips to prepare your trip in Thailand
Suphanburi province is located in the central region of Thailand, less than 2 hours' drive from Bangkok. It is a destination rather ignored by foreign tourists. Except perhaps its Dragon Descendants Museum. Its landmarks include historic temples and Don Chedi Historical Park, which commemorates King Naresuan's victory over Burmese forces in the 16th century. We will also note a large observation tower in town, traditional houses transformed into a museum and very interesting rural life.
Visitors to Suphanburi province can also explore the region's ancient temples, such as Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan, with its impressive Buddha or the Great Buddha carved into a mount at Wat Khao Thiam in U District. -Thong. Personally, I have spotted other places but I have not yet had the opportunity to visit them.
Suphanburi, can be an interesting stop between Kanchanaburi and Ayutthaya. If you want to explore more than the city and its immediate surroundings, transportation is strongly recommended.
