Located on the east coast of Thailand, Chanthaburi Province is a province rich in gemological history, local culture and natural sites. Bordered by the sea, this region, again not very touristy, is nevertheless worth a stop on the road to the island of Koh Chang and its neighbors or to Cambodia.

The province of Chanthaburi has some long beaches, not the most beautiful in Thailand but pleasant and not too crowded. But it is true that it is above all the city that we visit. For its riverfront community and its Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Its precious stone market is also very well known. There are also some nice homestays along the water, a pretty national park and some remains of French colonization, admittedly brief like a prison with an unsavory concept. Its weekend Walking Street in the street along the river is also very pleasant for discovering local gastronomy and crafts.
