Information about Funeral of late Thailand's King
The funeral of King Bhumibol, Rama IX, will take place from 25 to 29 October 2017 at the Sanam Luang in Bangkok, the large esplanade in front of the Grand Palace where the royal crematorium was built. The cremation will take place on October 26th, which will be an exceptional holiday in Thailand. A huge crowd is expected to attend the ceremonies. Some estimates 250,000 people will be there but they could be much more numerousregarding the popularity of this King considered as the Father of the nation.Note that for the ceremonies many roads in Bangkok will be closed, some monuments too, the logistical organization of these funerals will have some impact on the stay of travelers in Bangkok and throughout Thailand.
