- Enjoy the beach because if you come to Koh Ngai island, it is for its beach and the turquoise sea waters. So enjoying the beach is the main activity here. Just know that in the late morning and until around 4:30 pm, boats disembark tourists groups from the neighboring islands on the beach. They stay one or two hours and leave. So, as for me, the best time in Koh Ngai is the early hours of the day. I did not go there but besides the large beach where all the resorts are, there is a small beach called ''Paradise beach'' accessible by a short path int the forest that starts at Thany Resort. It should be deserted, tour groups never go there.
- Admire sunrise colouring the horizon. Koh Ngai beach is on the east side of the island. If the weather is favorable, you can see beautiful sunrises. But you have to wake up early of course ! I strongly advise you to start your day with the sunrise and stroll on the beach and/or swimm in the sea in the early hours of the day. There is hardly anyone except a few joggers, you will feel like you have the island just for yourself. The best time of the day in Koh Ngai !
- Rent a kayak and go around the island. Most resorts rent kayaks per hour (one hundred baht) or per day (around THB 600).
