To come to Koh Libong, you will have to go first to Hat Yao Pier about fifty kilometers from Trang. It is from here that the boats leave to reach the island. The crossing is not long, it takes about twenty minutes. Since COVID the speedboats offer from Koh Ngai, Koh Lanta, Koh Kradan, koh Lipe or Koh Phi Phi is quite limited. From Trang you can buy minivan + boat packages: van to the Hat Yao Boat Pier and boat to Ko Libong. i recommend the travel agency opposite Trang Railway station but you may be able to book it through your hotel reception. If you plan to go back to Trang after your stay in Libong Island, book your return ticket on the same day you buy your ticket to Libong. There are no minivan station or company at Hat Yao Pier any more.

To leave Koh Libong, you will first have to take a boat to the Hat Yao Pier either from the pier which is located in Baan Phrao on the East coast of the island or take a private longtail boat from Haad Lang Kao beach. This is a little more expensive but can be more interesting depending on how many people you are but mostly it can give you a new chance to observe dugongs. Then from Hat Yao you can takego back to Trang and from there you have many bus or van + boat options or trains up to the North to Bangkok. Since COVID, the speed boats offer to Koh Ngai or Koh Lanta; Koh Lipe and Koh Phi Phi is lot more limited, check first if it is your next stop.

The train is the cheapest way to travel in Thailand especially in 3rd class. This is also where the contact with the population is the most interesting and incredible...
Taking the plance to travel in Thailand is often not that much more expensive than the bus especially with the numerous specials offers and it is so much faster !
